How does it work?
The Valeo Safe Side blind spot detection system allows you to drive safely and more comfortably every day. Thanks to the non-intrusive RADAR sensors, the system detects vehicles in the blind spot area and alerts the driver via visual and audible signals.
When the driver is being passed by another vehicle, the system alerts the driver with a yellow light.
If the driver uses the turn indicator and there is a vehicle in the blind spot area, the system will alert with a red light and a beep.
The night mode is activated when the tail lamps or headlamps are switched on, for a more comfortable warning during the night time.

The Valeo Safe Side system consists of the following elements:
- Two 79GHz RADAR sensors
Installed in a non-intrusive way. Characterised by the detection distance up to 5 m and work in temperatures between -40c and +85c.
- Two interior displays
Displays installed inside the car. Owing to a discreet, unobtrusive design will match every interior.
- ECU
