Valeo is launching a wiper blade created differently, with the obsession of reducing the environmental impact without compromising performance. The solution reduces CO2 emissions by 61% compared to most wipers available on the European market.
For the production of the Valeo Canopy range, the use of natural, and recycled materials has been increased. For example, the rubber compound used in Canopy blades is made from more than 80% renewable or recycled materials. It uses natural rubber from Hevea trees and synthetic rubber made from vegetable oils from sugar cane and carbon black from recycled tires.
Such a unique rubber mixture ensures excellent performance of the wiper.
The Canopy wiper range also features a new mounting system. Unlike others, the Canopy wiper does not need multiple adapters. There is only one, pre-installed. This solution ensures easier installation, but also avoids wasting unnecessary additional adapters.
In the case of Valeo Canopy wipers, even their packaging is eco-friendly. They are made of cardboard, which is 90% recycled. All this makes Canopy wipers reduce their carbon footprint by as much as 61% (as confirmed by the Bureau Veritas certification body).
In addition to this action on the specific Valeo Canopy range, Valeo is committed to eliminating single-use plastic packaging from all its wiper blade ranges by the end of 2024 in Europe, replacing them with more sustainable cardboard solutions.
