The innovative Valeo DC/DC converter for vehicles equipped with 48V systems has been distinguished in the prestigious autoEXPERT Product of the Year 2025 competition in the category “Automotive Parts and Accessories.” The award confirms that Valeo’s solutions meet real market needs and support workshops in servicing the rapidly growing segment of 48V hybrid vehicles.

Organized by Raven Media for over 20 years, the autoEXPERT Product of the Year competition promotes the most advanced solutions in the Polish automotive market. In this year’s edition, 23 innovative products competed for the title of Product of the Year 2025. The evaluation was carried out by readers of autoEXPERT magazine and a 15-member jury composed of industry experts, scientists, and automotive professionals. The awarded Valeo DC/DC Converter for mild hybrid vehicles is a key component of the electrical systems in 48V vehicles. It ensures efficient voltage conversion between high-voltage (48V) and low-voltage (12V) circuits, providing stable and reliable power supply to all onboard and drivetrain systems.
Its compact and lightweight design allows easy integration, even in vehicles with limited installation space. The Valeo DC/DC converter supports both buck (48V → 12V) and boost (12V → 48V) modes. Valeo makes the DC/DC converter available on the independent aftermarket, supporting workshops in servicing mild hybrid vehicles. The product is offered in two references dedicated to Stellantis Group vehicles:
- Ref. 597202 – for Alfa Romeo Tonale, Jeep Renegade, and Fiat 500X
- Ref. 597203 – for Peugeot 208/2008/3008/308/5008, Citroën C5 Aircross, Lancia Ypsilon, Opel Corsa, and Zafira
